Day 1 - Ashley Lake


Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup, 8:30 - 9:30 am, at your Kalispell hotel with transport to the exquisite Wahlela Lodge on the shores of Ashley Lake, one of the most beautiful, crystal clear lakes - anywhere! The group will have exclusive use of the lodge with all of its luxurious facilities including unparalleled views, peaceful serenity enhanced occasionally by the hallowed call of the Loon. Here you can truly leave the hustle and bustle behind. This day is filled with your choice of relaxation and/or a wide variety of available activities including:

Day 2 - Glacier Park/Two Medicine Valley


Today you will be introduced to Glacier National Park, crown of the continent and backbone of the world. We will shuttle to Whitefish where you will board the Amtrak train traveling to East Glacier through stunning scenery along the southern borders of the park. From your pick up at East Glacier guests will take a short jaunt to the Two Medicine Valley with some of the most dazzling red, green and yellow colors of rock and foliage. While on camping at Glacier National Park, first you will climb aboard the Sinopath, a historic wooden boat for a guided tour to the west end of Two Medicine Lake. Then a hike to Twin Falls and on to upper Two Medicine Lake. Lunch along the way and a chance to polar dip in a glacier melt lake - if you dare. Your real Montana experience will begin to deepen as you breathe the invigorating air, smell the vibrant flowers, and take in spectacular scenery. We will return hike to the vehicle and embark for dinner and an overnight stay at one of Glacier’s historic high-country lodges.

Day 3 - Going to the Sun Road/Highline Trail


Guests will get an early start to make the most of this day. After breakfast, you will travel to the famous “Going to the Sun” road constructed in the 1920’s and 30’s. It is an engineering marvel itself and is known as the most beautiful fifty miles in the world.

Logan Pass, along the continental divide, will be the trails head for our hike along the High Line Trail. One of the most incredible hikes in Glacier will reward you with a diversity of plants, wildlife, and jaw dropping views.

We will lunch at Highstake Ridge and then return to Logan Pass. You will hop aboard a Jammer, an historic Red Bus, to view the west end of Going to the Sun in style. These guided coaches, with roll back tops, maximize your learning, sensory experience, and photo opportunities. Finally, guests will catch the shuttle at West Glacier and head back home to Wahlela Lodge for the evening.

Day 4 - Exclusive Ashley Lake


Today will be a chance to continue your Ashley Lake/Wahlela Lodge experience with plenty of backcountry and water activities, delectable Montana home cooking and relaxation.

Want to do more? Feel free to Kayak, mountain bike, UTV, hike or swim.

Want to do less? Grab a nap or read a book as you sit on the deck overlooking the lake.

Close out the day with a heartwarming evening campfire and of course s’mores.

Day 5 - Saddle and Paddle Glacier


Today, after another hardy Montana breakfast, we are off to West Glacier, Montana's white water capital to a saddle and paddle adventure. Experience Glacier from two additional perspectives that take you off the beaten path.

A truly picturesque horseback riding with views of McDonald Creek and Lake McDonald will feel like a step back in time. After the horseback ride and lunch we will take you on a guided white water rafting adventure.

Class II and III rapids in the middle section of the Flathead river were featured in the movie, A River Wild. Along smoother sections relax and take in the scenic splendor that will leave guests awestruck. For dinner this evening we will be treated to a classic Montana BBQ with all the trimmings. Round out the day with indoor and outdoor activities back at Wahlela Lodge.

Day 6 - Flathead Lake


Begin the day with sunrise photos, breakfast overlooking the water, and then off to our final destination, Flathead Lake. This is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi with stunning Salish and Mission mountain backdrop. Learn about and experience this magnificent lake on a two-hour cruise aboard the Far West/Wild Wave tour boat. Following lunch onboard, we will shuttle back to the airport/hotels for final departure and goodbyes. We love the opportunity to guide your step out of bounds in the “Last Best Place”. We know you will be transformed and leave with Montana on your mind - probably for the rest of your life.
